SIA Security Courses

The SIA Security Courses are for individuals wishing to apply for a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a door supervisor or needing to up-skill. The SIA Door Supervisor Training Course is the relevant SIA specification for learning and qualifications.

Our SIA Door Supervisor Training Course is delivered face to face, so you get the best experience with our industry-leading tutors. All our trainers come from an operational background in Security and close protection.

We have partnered up with Coast 2 Coast Security to enhance the SIA Security Courses being delivered. Being taught by operational security operatives gives you the confidence you will be taught from experience. Within the partnership it also allows us to offer job interviews upon successful completion of the course. Coast 2 Coast Recruitment

Since April 2021, there has been an additional requirement for all security courses is to hold a recognised first aid qualification. This training is on day 1 of your training with Cornwall Training. Our medical trainers are all operational emergency services.

We offer additional training as standard on all our Door Supervisors First Aid Courses for example.

We are working with several local security companies and can arrange links for employment from the course.

SIA Security Courses Identification Requirements

Please ensure you have the correct ID documents prior to booking on the course, as failure to provide the documentation on the course will prevent you from starting the course.

You will need to check you meet the requirements for top-up training and the changes in the licencing. All the information is on the SIA website.

You will need to apply for your Door Supervisor Licence through the SIA. You will need to meet all the SIA requirements before a licence is granted, so please check you meet the requirements.

If you are doing a course with PRE-COURSE STUDY this must be returned for marking prior to the course. Please read the joining email for full instructions on what is required. Failure to complete the book in time will mean refusal of the course and forfeiting the course payment.
