Personal Licence Holder
Oversee the sale and handling of alcohol safely, and gain the knowledge you need to successfully apply for a Personal Licence Holder, with our high quality 1-day training course.
What is Personal Licence Training?
A Personal Licence course is required if you want to oversee the sale of alcohol, and is a legal requirement for all Designated Premises Supervisors. The personal licence training course is a comprehensive 1-day course and is for those learners already working in, or preparing to work in, any industry that involves the sale of alcohol.
The course is a pre-requisite for anyone who wishes to apply for an APLH (Awarded Personal Licence Holder). Anyone wishing to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol by retail on licensed premises must hold a valid Personal Licence.
What does the personal licence cover?
The objective of the personal licence course is to allow an individual to meet a requirement set by the law in order to undertake a specific role involved in the sale of alcohol. Persons gaining this qualification will understand the main requirements of the Licensing Act 2003, the importance of promoting the licensing objectives and the legal responsibilities of a Designated Premises Supervisor.
Who is the APLH Level 2 suitable for?
Our personal licence holder courses are suitable for anyone who has a role in which the authorisation of alcohol sales is essential. This includes retail managers, restaurant, hotel and bar managers, premises supervisors and more. The course is also suitable for individuals not yet in these positions, but who wish to progress into these roles.

Our high quality practical personal licences courses are Ofqual regulated, making them a valuable accreditation for anyone working around alcohol. Get peace of mind that your training is designed to adhere to official regulations and stringent standards, and delivered by expert trainers.
