SIA Door Supervisor Top Up within the Private Security Industry

This regulated SIA Door Supervisor Top-Up qualification is designed for those learners who undertook their door supervisor qualification prior to the launch of the regulated door supervisor qualification. If successfully achieved, it allows them to meet their mandatory top-up requirements for door supervisors and to retain their SIA license. It is based on the relevant SIA specification for learning and qualifications, and subjects covered include understanding relevant counter-terrorism issues, queue management, and physical intervention.

How long will it take?

To complete this SIA Door Supervisor Top-Up qualification learners are expected to undertake approximately 23 hours of learning over 3 days.

This qualification is assessed by practical assessments and multiple-choice examinations.

These include principles of terror threat awareness, principles of using equipment as a door supervisor, and the application of physical intervention skills.
