What is the Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid?

The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid qualification is ideal for those who work or intend to work in an outdoor, agricultural, or remote environment, such as Forest school leaders and outdoor pursuit instructors. It is a regulated First Aid qualification.

What will I learn?

Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider in an outdoor environment
Be able to assess an emergency incident safely
Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty who is breathing
Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty who is NOT breathing
Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking
Know how to provide first aid to a casualty who is suffering from
shock
Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with external bleeding
Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with minor injuries
Be able to provide insulation and shelter to a casualty in an outdoor environment
Know how to provide first aid to a casualty who is drowning
Know how to
provide first aid to a casualty with a life-threatening illness

Certification

Upon successful completion of this course participants will be awarded certification valid for three years.

Assessment

Assessment with all of our first aid courses requires the participants to complete a practical demonstration of skill, as well as a multiple-choice examination.
