Course Body Title

This regulated qualification is designed for those learners who undertook their door supervisor qualification prior to the launch of the regulated door supervisor qualification. If successfully achieved, it allows them to meet their mandatory top-up requirements for door supervisors and to retain their SIA licence. It is based on the relevant SIA specification for learning and qualifications, and subjects covered include understanding relevant counter-terrorism issues, queue management and physical intervention.

Unit 1: Working in the Private Security Industry Assessed by a 1 hour 40 question multiple-choice examination. Candidates must achieve a score of at least 28 out of 40 to pass this unit.

Unit 2: Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry Assessed by a 1 hour 15 minute 45 question multiple-choice examination. Candidates must achieve a score of at least 32 out of 45 to pass this unit.

Unit 3: Conflict Management within the Private Security Industry Assessed by a 30 minute 20 question multiple-choice examination. Candidates must achieve a score of at least 14 out of 20 to pass this unit.

Unit 4: Physical Intervention Skills within the Private Security Industry Assessed in two parts. Part one is a practical test and part two is a written test set by HABC.
