Team Leader/Supervisor Apprenticeship
A team leader/supervisor is a first line management role, with operational/project responsibilities or responsibility for managing a team to deliver a clearly defined outcome. They provide direction, instructions and guidance to ensure the achievement of set goals. Working in the private, public or third sector and in all sizes of organisation, specific responsibilities will vary but the knowledge, skills and behaviours will need to be the same whatever the role.
You will require skills, knowledge and behaviours in areas such as interpersonal excellence, organisational performance and personal effectiveness; within these areas you will be able to lead and manage of yourself and others, build relationships, maintain good communication as well as decision making, professionalism and having an inclusive approach to your duties.
Throughout the apprenticeship programme you will be assessed to prepare you for your role as a team leader/supervisor and for the end assessment which is taken once the programme has finished.
Assessments which are included are as follows;
- Development of a portfolio of evidence
- Ongoing professional discussions
- Feedback back from the training providers and
- Continued Professional Development
The end point assessment comprises of;
- Knowledge test
- Structured competency based interview
- Assessment of portfolio evidence
- Professional discussion relating to CPD activity
