Immediate Life Support

The Immediate Life Support Course by Qualsafe is required to keep your First Response Emergency Care FREC 4 or Safe Administration of Lifesaving Medication qualification valid. This is a 1 day course.

What is involved with the course?

The Qualsafe Level 4 Award in Immediate Life Support (RQF) is a nationally recognised qualification is for those who have a responsibility at work, in the community or voluntary activities to provide emergency care to patients, such as event medical providers, emergency ambulance personnel, registered healthcare professionals and those working in specialist roles within the emergency services and military.

Successful candidates will develop their knowledge and skills in providing Immediate Life Support to patients in Cardio-Respiratory Arrest or experiencing life-threatening illness and injury.

Topics will include: Airway Management, ILS procedures, ILS treatment algorithms, Modifications required during cardiac arrest, End of life care, NEWS 2 Scoring

You MUST hold a FREC 4 qualification to be eligible to attend this course. Proof will need to be supplied of your FREC 4 certificate.

Once you have successfully completed the course, (which is not guaranteed), we will offer paid work on our event medical team CTC Medical Services

What’s included in the price?

The price includes all equipment, Registration and Certification, refreshments throughout the course and course manual to keep.

Other details

The course can be delivered at our training centre in St Austell. If you have a suitable area, we can also deliver at your premises. This would reduce training costs with no travel costs for your employees.
