Family and Community Essential Skills

The Family and Community Essential Skills (FCES) project will ensure that participants aged 16+ years who are employed and unemployed if recently redundant or where they require advanced or higher level skills to gain employment will receive training, development and support to a progression within work, in further education or paid employment.

Do you live in Cornwall, are working and on a low wage? Or Claiming Universal Credit? Want to improve your skills and knowledge with support and training?

Then this programme is for you

We can provide a tailored programme of up to 12 weeks of support, for you to achieve those goals of increased pay, hours, promotion, or even a new job.

Participants on the project should expect to achieve raised qualification and skills levels, in particular basic skills.  Other project outcomes will also include higher levels of self-esteem which raise aspirations and, the removal of barriers to learning
