SIA Training partnership for Cornwall

Two of the leading companies in training and security have joined forces to raise the SIA Training standards of security staff training in Cornwall.

Cornwall Training and Coast2Coast Security have become partners to offer SIA training in Cornwall. By joining forces, they will be raising the standards of training for security staff in Cornwall and being able to offer the possibility of job interviews from the courses.

The SIA Training courses will be delivered by staff who have local frontline experience in security and medical support. Their first aid training has additional subjects added to enhance the skills that are specific to what security officers may have to deal with. This takes the basic and licence renewal training courses above the minimum requirements.

Training will meet the requirements of the Security Industry Authority to enable people to renew their current licences, or to gain their first licence to work. The basic 8-day training course covers subjects like  Anti-terrorism, conflict management, physical intervention,  Principles of working in the private security industry, and Principles of working as a door supervisor in the private security industry.

The courses will be delivered in mid-Cornwall at the approved training centre in St Austell, so are easily accessible to all in Cornwall.
